Latini Frame

Another Name Frame found a home to a new couple.  Since the invitation was pink I decided to use pink as one of the colors.  In this case Strawberry Slush. The Flowers were sprayed with water and crumbled up and then opened up to dry.  I stamped them prior with the flower form Blooming with Kindness and sprayed with some glitter spray after they had dried. I print the date from my computer.

Bermuda Floral Doilies

I made a stack of Thank you cards for all of our Bible School workers last month.  Since I did not know the head count yet and I drove 5 hours for this VBS I did not put them all the way together until the night before the closing program.  That way if I had made too many I did not have a stack of VBS themed Thank you cards that I would never use again.  I only  had 3 extras and decided to fill in the blank part with the doilies, flowers and of course butterflies.  At first I was not drawn to the doilies but I had $3 of hostess dollars left on an order and decided to give them a try.  I think they will have to have a permanent spot in my work area!

Polka Dots

I took advantage of the buy 3 get one free DSP in the month of July.  So now I have lots of DSP and love, love , love using it!  This card was pretty simple.  The hardest part was the fold.  I could do this in every color that is in the Polka Dot Parade pack.  The tough part would be which side of the paper to use. Lol

Paper: Real Red, Polka Dot Parade DSP

Merry Night

What?!?! no flip card today...I couldn't get it to work with the sketch for today, maybe if I had more time. Lol  I have heard how hard it is to figure out what Christmas stamps are out there right now.

Where you can find Christmas Stamps:

Now back to the card.  I hope I stuck to the layout enough.  I wanted to use this stamp as a feature but it was the same size...ok larger than the back layer.  I stamped the image in Midnight Muse and than used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (one retired tool that will never leave my house!) to stamp over it with Versamark.  I then dusted it with Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds...yes, I am now glistening!   To do the back Midnight Muse panel I ran it through the Big Shot with the Embossing Folder first and then just crumpled it in my hands.  After I flattened it back out I ran some sponging around the edged and across some of the wrinkles.  I curled the top corner for a bit more dimension.  I do have the embossing folder used on the big panel too.  I think I sponged all layers pretty good. ;-)  I wanted something simple for the cross panel so I went with a vintage looking ribbon.  I added some pearls to the edges of the frame (because I think all cards need pearls or rhinestones) Lol  The main panel is popped up with Dimensionals.  The framing part is so easy to do.  I just put both Framelits on the paper at the same time, make sure the are spaced how I want them and run them through the Big Shot.  I cut the back layer the size of the larger Framelit, line up and glue down.

Party Hats

I took advantage of the buy 3 get one free DSP.  I am not big on buying the DSP but I always wish I had more when I make a card.  So one of my things this year is to purchase and use more DSP.  I am always lacking cards that can be used for younger kids and the Birthday Basic DSP will get lots of use in that arena,

Flower Flip Card

Yes, another flip card! They are so fun to do and easy too.  The hard part is getting a good picture.  The doily does line up and is equal on each side.  I guess the angle makes it look differently.  This card contains a lot of my favorite elements.  1.) I love making ruffled flowers, 2.)This is my favorite piece of DSP, 3.) Addicted to Flip Card Die, 4.) I could add butterflies to any card, 5.)Pearls should be added to all cards Lol, 5.) Doilies can be made into any color but I love making them vintage.

Flipped Wedding

So Thursday is my bill paying day so I usually do not get a time to stamp.  I had an order come in and it had some great new products in it.  I was gone all yesterday afternoon and it was killing me to know all of these new toys were sitting on my desk waiting to be used. (Yes, I told DH that I could not leave until I at least unpacked the box and touched each and every one. Lol

So right away this morning I had to get up and make a card.  Can you tell I love making Wedding cards????  When I first saw the Flip Cards I was kind of stumped as I wanted to be able to have an inside and a place to sign all of our names.  That takes more than a small spot.  So last week, as I was waiting for my order, someone shared a link to Patty Bennet's blog where she posted a video on how to extend the card.  It answered my problem!

You will see many Flip cards in the future!!!!  I did order both sets but the Label one was on back order and should arrive next week!

Forever Sketch

So when I went to bed last night I knew I would have time this morning to work on the Wednesday Sketch.  I also knew I wanted to incorporate Melon Mambo into it,  Not sure why, I was just drawn to using it today.  I had also decided I wanted to use Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with it.  Sometimes they post the sketch before I go to sleep and last night was one of those times.  So I fell asleep thinking of what I wanted to do.  The main panel did not fall into place until the card was almost finished. Lol  I have found that using the Hex punch to so the ends of the banners is so much easier than the other avenues I had been using (hand cut & square punch.)

Paper: Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Melon Mambo

Silver Wedding

Ok, I am addicted to making Wedding Cards. ;-)  What I need to get is a good Happy Anniversary stamp.  I could have just printed one but I really wanted to emboss it and that would not have worked.

What started this card was that I woke up this morning wanting to emboss the Paper Doilies.  So I started there.  I had to get a few chores done around the house so I finished a job and added an element, finished a chore and added more to the card.I finished the card long before I finished my chores.  Lol

Dream

I got out my DSP and decided to start there with the design for this card.  This paper just jumped right out and said "Use me!" I thought it was so elegant and so I tried to  keep the rest of the card the same.  I loved how the Loving Thoughts went so well with the Four Frames.

Memories

Why don't I use my wheels????  I do believe that this is the only one I have left that did not retire.  I really need to look at these more again.  I made the pearls the trail for the butterflies. I cut the banner in half and put a section on each side.

Here 4 U

I ran across this paper the other day while making another card and I loved the design and found out how much I liked Baked Brown Sugar with Summer Starfruit. I knew I wanted to use the Pansy as the pop up element in this sketch which forced me to make the sentiment as the cluster.  I am so glad that I did!  I did not follow the sketch exactly as I wanted a landscape card, so I made it work.  I have learned that when I want to use the clay for a flower center I do not want it thick, so I just fill the mold just deep enough to get the design.

Wedding Couple

Boy are there a lot of weddings this summer!  I have wanted to do a card like this for a long time.  Since I bought the Dress Up Framelit I could now put my idea to a try.  To do the dress I just cut numerous sections of the bottom portion and glued them behind.  After it was all glued together I ran it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder. The man's shirt and suit collars was made with the Pennant Punch, even the side tie sections.  I do not have a punch small enough to do the circle for the tie so I used my Crop-a-dile (the big side). The flowers are much prettier in person.  They do have Dazzling Diamonds in them so they have a nice sparkle.  The dress was also sprayed with a bit of sparkle to give it a bit of a shimmer.  To do the tux buttons, I just colored them with a black sharpie marker.  I used a couple of Dimensionals behind the sentiment.

Ruffled Flowers

My favorite colors!  I could make all of my cards in these colors but that would be boring to you so I try to use others every now and then.lol  I cut out the flower with the Die/Punch, sprayed them with water and wrinkled them.  I then flattened them out and let them dry.
